I’ve been writing a lot lately about my general mechanical ineptitude, and how I’ve been taking the tiniest of baby steps to overcome it and build a little confidence in myself.
I’ve written before about my undying love of typewriters. The *clickety-clack* of the keys, the smell of the ink, the feeling of the machine under your hands… I even love the inevitable ink smudges you get on your fingers from pulling the paper off the drum too fast.
A short while ago, my grandfather took a spill and wound up in the hospital.
I have two kids and, if I’m being honest, I’m tired all the time.
About two years ago, just a few months before the COVID-19 pandemic turned the world upside down, my grandmother passed away.
