Introduction
"Go Read A Book" ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our Chrome extension.
Data Collection and Usage
We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data.
The "Go Read A Book" extension operates with a strict privacy-first approach:
- Local & Sync Storage: All your settings, including the lists of blocked websites and your selected book identifiers (ASINs), are stored locally on your device or in your personal Chrome Sync storage (if enabled). This data is managed directly by the browser and is not accessible to us.

- No Analytics: We do not use any third-party analytics tools to track user behavior.

storage: To save your preferences and blocklists locally and sync them across your devices.declarativeNetRequest: To block access to the websites you specify and redirect you to your reading list.activeTab: To allow you to quickly add the current site you are visiting to your blocklist via the extension popup.- Host Permissions: Used solely to enable the redirection feature on the domains you choose to block.
Third-Party Services
The extension interacts with Amazon Kindle Cloud Reader (read.amazon.com) for the sole purpose of allowing you to select a book to be redirected to. We do not collect your Amazon login credentials or reading history.
